Moving your peptide store to a new platform without losing search traffic

Before you move

1. Export everything: products, customers, orders, batches and lab reports, as spreadsheets and files.
2. Download a list of every address on your current site from its sitemap.
3. Export your top pages from Google Search Console, so you know which ones earn the most traffic.
4. Make sure your domain is registered in your own name, not bought through the old platform.
5. Screenshot or save the current wording of every product and policy page.

Map every old address to a new one

Build a simple two-column list: old address, new address. Every product, category, guide and policy page gets a row. Where a page has no equivalent, point it at the closest relevant page, not the home page.

Set up permanent redirects

Each old address should send visitors and search engines to its new address with a permanent (301) redirect. That tells search engines the page moved, and most of its ranking moves with it.

Test a sample of old addresses after launch. One broken rule can send hundreds of pages to an error page.

The first four weeks

• Submit the new sitemap in Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools on launch day.
• Check the Search Console coverage report weekly for pages that fail.
• Compare clicks on your top pages with the weeks before the move.
• Fix any old addresses that show up as errors.

A small dip in the first week or two is normal. A steady drop usually means missing or broken redirects.
