1. Who we are and what these terms cover
"Purity", "we" and "us" mean the operator of runwithpurity.com and the Purity software. "You" means the business that opens the account, and everyone that business invites to it. You can reach us at hello@runwithpurity.com.
These terms cover the Purity website, the dashboard, hosted shops and store pages, the store chat, the assistant, the free tools, and anything else we provide under the Purity name (together, "the service"). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and is part of these terms.
2. Your account
Purity is for businesses. The person who opens an account must be at least 18 and allowed to accept these terms for the business.
- Give us accurate information and keep it current.
- Keep your password private and turn on two-step login. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what the people you invite do.
- Give each team member the lowest role that lets them do their job, and remove people who no longer work with you.
- Tell us right away at hello@runwithpurity.com if you think someone else has got into your account.
3. Research use only
Purity is back-office software for businesses that sell research-use-only materials for laboratory research. Purity does not make, buy, sell, test, store or ship any product, and it is not a party to any sale between you and your buyers.
You decide what you sell and how. You are responsible for following every law and rule that applies to your business, your products, your labels, your shipping and your marketing, including federal, state and local law and the rules of the carriers, payment providers and platforms you use.
You agree that you will not use Purity to:
- present any product as fit for use in people or animals, or give instructions for that kind of use;
- make health or medical claims of any kind about any product;
- sell anything illegal where you or your buyer is, including controlled substances and anything the law allows only through a licensed pharmacy or a licensed medical practice;
- sell to anyone you know or suspect plans to use a product outside laboratory research.
Purity includes tools for staying careful: the wording check, research-use agreements at checkout, and lab report rules that keep a batch off sale until its report passes. These tools reduce mistakes. They do not guarantee that your business follows the law, they can miss things, and they are not legal advice. You remain responsible for your content. We may hold back, hide or remove content that breaks this section, and the wording check may block wording that looks like a claim even when you did not mean one.
4. Acceptable use
You also agree not to:
- try to see, change or delete another business's data, or get around the limits of your plan or role;
- get around, switch off or test the limits of the wording check, the store chat filters or any other safety check outside the settings we provide;
- send email or texts to people who have not agreed to receive them, or keep messaging people who asked you to stop;
- upload malware, overload the service, or scan or attack it without our written permission;
- use the store preview, store scan or any other tool on a website you have no right to use;
- copy, resell or rebuild the service, except for exports of your own data.
5. Your data and your buyers' data
You own the content and data you put into Purity, including your products, batches, lab reports and your buyers' details. You let us store, copy, process and display it only as needed to run the service for you, to keep it secure, and to meet our legal duties.
When Purity stores or processes information about your buyers, wholesale customers, affiliates and subscribers, we do it on your behalf and on your instructions. You are responsible for having the right to collect that information, for the privacy notice on your store, and for answering your buyers' requests about their information. We will help where the product allows, and we will pass on any request we receive about your buyers.
We do not sell your data or your buyers' data, and we do not use it to market to your buyers.
6. Email and text messages you send
Emails and texts sent from your account (order emails, cart reminders, campaigns, automations and replies) are your messages. You are responsible for their content, for having consent where the law requires it, and for honoring unsubscribe and STOP requests. Purity adds unsubscribe links and processes STOP replies, and keeps a record of the consent wording a person agreed to.
Text messaging requires carrier registration, which may take time or be refused. We may pause sending from an account that draws complaints, breaks carrier rules or puts other customers' sending at risk.
7. AI features
The assistant in the dashboard and the optional store chat use an outside AI model provider. AI answers can be wrong or incomplete, so check anything important before you rely on it. The assistant can read your data to answer questions, and any change it suggests waits for a person on your team to confirm it.
The store chat answers your buyers using your product and policy information. It is built to refuse questions about using a product in people or animals, and its replies are checked before they are shown. You choose whether to turn it on and what it says about your policies, and you remain responsible for your store.
8. Services you connect
You can connect services you hold your own accounts with, such as shipping carriers and label services, a card payment gateway, your own website platform, your own email domain and texting. Your use of those services is under their terms, and they are responsible for what they do. Keys you give us for them are stored so that nobody can read them back, including you; you can only replace them.
9. Plans, invoices and payment
Plans and prices are shown on our pricing page and in your account. The Beta plan is free for as long as we offer it.
- Paid plans are billed by monthly invoice. You pay by bank transfer or Zelle, as the invoice explains. Purity does not take card numbers for its own billing.
- If an invoice is overdue we send reminders. If it is 21 or more days overdue, the account becomes view-only until it is paid. Viewing and exports keep working while it is view-only.
- We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change applies to you.
- Fees are not refundable except where the law requires it or we agree in writing.
- You are responsible for any taxes on your plan, other than taxes on our income.
Purity never holds or moves your sales money. Your buyers pay you directly using the payment methods you set up.
10. Changes
We improve the service all the time and may add, change or remove features. If we remove something important you pay for, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can.
We may update these terms. Each version has a date at the top of this page. When a change matters, we will ask you to accept the new version the next time you sign in, and the new version applies once accepted. If you do not agree, you can stop using Purity.
11. Ending your account
You can stop using Purity at any time. An owner can close a brand from Settings. To delete your login and your account data, email hello@runwithpurity.com from the address on the account. Export anything you want to keep first.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, does not pay, or puts Purity, its other customers or the public at legal risk. When we reasonably can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem and export your data.
What we keep after an account closes, and for how long, is explained in our Privacy Policy. Sections 3, 5, 12, 13, 14 and 15 keep applying after the account ends.
12. No promises beyond these terms
We work hard to keep Purity accurate, secure and available, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no other promises, including that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that the wording check will catch every problem, or that lab report reading, payment matching or AI answers will always be correct. Check results that matter before you act on them.
13. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, Purity is not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or indirect, special or consequential losses, even if we were told they were possible. Purity's total liability for all claims about the service is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 US dollars.
Purity is not responsible for the products you sell, the claims you make about them, your dealings with your buyers, or the services you connect.
14. Your responsibility to us
You agree to defend and cover Purity against claims, fines and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that come from the products you sell, your content, the messages you send, your dealings with your buyers, or your breaking these terms or the law.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas, and both sides agree to those courts. Before starting a claim, please email us so we can try to sort it out together.
16. Other terms
These terms, the Privacy Policy and anything we agree in writing are the whole agreement between us. If one part cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part right away does not mean we give it up. You may not transfer your account without our written agreement; we may transfer these terms if Purity is sold or reorganized. We send notices to the email on your account, and you send notices to us by email.
