Publish the buyer research-use agreement

Buyers accept this at checkout to confirm they are buying for research use only; publish a new version whenever you need to change it.

The agreement states what a buyer confirms when they check out, for example that the purchase is for research use only and not for use in people or animals.

  1. Open Compliance.
  2. Open "Publish a new version" (or "Publish the agreement" if none exists yet), edit the title or text, and click "Publish new version."
  3. Turn on "Require every buyer to accept the research-use agreement before an order is accepted from your website" under "Checkout and policies" to make it required.

Publishing keeps every earlier version, and everyone who accepted it, exactly as it was; nothing is overwritten. Each acceptance is chained to the one before it, so an altered record would show up as broken.

If the wording itself trips a blocked rule, publishing is refused until you fix it.
