The wording check on outgoing texts

Every text is checked for research-use wording before it sends; some words block it, others need a reason to send anyway.

Anyone can send a clean message; only owners and admins can override a flagged one · Updated September 24, 2026

Purity checks the wording of every outgoing text against rules for research-use-only products before it sends.

  • Blocked words (health and human-use claims) stop the text from sending. There is no way to override a block; reword the message.
  • Flagged words (a softer second-look list) let the message through only if you give a reason.
  1. Write your message and click "Send".
  2. If wording is flagged, a reason box appears under the message.
  3. Type a short reason, at least 5 characters, for example: quoting the published study title.
  4. Click "Send" again.

Only an owner or admin can send a flagged message with a reason. Staff can see the message but cannot override it. Every override is logged.
